By 14 weeks, your baby is about the size of a nectarine, and we can hear their heartbeat and watch them moving on an ultrasound.  A 2D baby ultrasound scan is like the standard black and white images you typically see at your doctor’s office during your 20-week diagnostic scan.

We use 2D ultrasound technology only for our Just Gender package, and we use a mixture of 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD ultrasound technology for all other scans, depending on what captures your little one’s movements and facial features best on the day.

Please note: We advise that you drink lots of water (at least 2 liters) on the day of your appointment, and on the days leading up to it, if possible. If mother and baby are hydrated, it allows us to get the best possible images of the baby for you to keep forever.
